World Map Portal Let's You Experience the World through VR
Teaching kids about the world using technology seems to be a trend, as World Map Portal launches their Kickstarter campaign to teach kids about the world using virtual reality. World Map Portal is a 2D world map, which you stick on the wall and look at through a VR viewer. Different points on the map bring countries and cultures to life.
Travelling in real life is a wonderful experience, but not everyone is able to do that. The World Map Portal allows kids (and adults) to step into different places without going anywhere.
Recently we also wrote about Orboot (another Kickstarter campaign), which comes with a physical globe and uses augmented reality technology.
World Map Portal could be a fantastic resource for homeschooling families.
