pisound - Audio & MIDI Interface for Raspberry Pi

The pisound campaign has launched on Indiegogo. pisound is an audio and midi interface for the Raspberry Pi. pisound allows you to connect audio/MIDI input and output devices to the Pi.
pisound is a Pi hat that can be mounted directly on the Pi's GPIO pins, no soldering or separate power adapter needed.

You can use pisound as your main sound card and use it with audio/midi software that runs on the Pi including Audacity.

The board includes physical knobs for controlling volume and gain as well as a programmable button that you can choose the functionality for. Practical touches that make a lot of sense.

We were in the audience for the Sonic Pi live music coding session at the Raspberry Pi 5th Birthday Party and my 8 year old son, who is learning to play the electric guitar, was hooked. We went up to take a look at the pisound board afterwards.
