World Book Day with Tech Alice: micro:bit in Wonderland

March 1st is World Book Day. While we love tech around here, we also love books. We can't resist the opportunity to combine them. We have written a book called micro:bit in Wonderland which teaches children computing and design & technology along with cross-curricula skills.

micro:bit in Wonderland is a project book full of craft and coding activities that follow the story of Alice in Wonderland.

You can make a modern version of the White Rabbit's pocket watch to add to a costume - it would have been the latest bit of tech when the book was written by Lewis Carroll.

The book is widely available from online booksellers including Wordery and also as a digital book from Leanpub.

We also have a set of free bonus projects that accompany the book that also links in with Alice's Adventures in Wonderland.

We were really impressed with Donhead Prep School's use of our bonus projects for World Book Day.

Don't forget you can tweet us @TechAgeKids or with #techalice. We love to see how people have used the projects.
