Monsters University Games and Apps

My boys have gone Monsters University crazy so I thought I'd do a round up of the Monsters University games and apps that are either available or coming out soon.

Monsters University is the new movie prequel to Monsters Inc. which was also very popular in our house. My kids are loving the update to the story and the characters and my younger son asked for MU stuff for his upcoming birthday - he got some of his gifts early because his Nan came to visit.

The big console game for Monsters University is Disney Infinity. Infinity is a video game that uses real world toys to give access to new content.

The Monsters University 'playset' is included in the starter pack and provides game play set in the MU world where you can build a frat and join in the scare games. The starter pack includes the Sulley character. Mike and Randall are also available to buy separately.

Disney Infinity is available to pre-order now for Wii, Wii U, XBox 360, PlayStation 3 and Nintendo 3DS. There's a current offer where you can get Randall free with the Disney Infinity Starter Pack which is a good choice for MU fans.
  2. Then there's the Monsters University app for iOS and Android.

You get to take part in the Scare Games by joining in races and mini games. There's lots of Temple Run style sliding action.

The app is available on iTunes for iOS and Google Play for Android.

For younger kids there's a Monsters University educational game for the LeapPad. My 5 year old son asked for this for his birthday and he's enjoying it a lot.

It's a problem solving game where kids have to sneak across the MU campus. Kids don't really realize they're learning they're just having fun.

If you don't yet have a LeapPad there's a cool Monsters University LeapPad bundle available.
  4. VTech InnoTab Monsters University Game Software VTech InnoTab Monsters University Game Software

There's also an Monsters University title for the VTech InnoTab learning tablet.

This one teaches math and logic skills as kids prepare for the Scare Games.

Suitable for children aged 4-7 years.
  5. There's a Deluxe Monsters University Story Book app for iOS which enables kids to read along of listen to the audio.

The eBook features the voices of the actors from the MU movie.

The app also includes video clips and mini games for kids to play.
  6. There are also some free online MU games to play:
