The LEGO Movie 2014 Teaser Trailer

Warner Bros Pictures have released a teaser trailer for The LEGO Movie which is being developed for a 2014 release date.

It does look very funny. We especially liked seeing 1980 something space guy - my boys get to play with him when they visit their grandparents who still have all their Dad's LEGO® from when he was a child.

My boys are huge LEGO fans and have watched all the LEGO animated movies and the Ninjago series so I'm sure they'll love this. And we'll get to hear the jokes over and over again!

"The world's greatest heroes will join forces for the biggest movie ever assembled."
The movie is packed with an awesome LEGO cast including Superman, Wonder Woman, Batman and the green ninja.

The hero is Emmet who is referred to as 'the special.' According to IMDB the storyline is that an ordinary LEGO minifigure (which must be Emmet) gets mistaken for a master builder and must "help stop an evil tyrant from gluing the LEGO universe together" - oh no!

Morgan Freeman's character is named Vitruvius. Vitruvius was a Roman engineer and architect so very appropriate for a important character in the LEGO universe.

The human voice cast is pretty impressive too and includes: Chris Pratt, Will Ferrell, Elizabeth Banks, Will Arnett, Liam Neeson and Morgan Freeman.

The LEGO Movie is due for release on February 7th 2014 in the US.

The movie has a website (nothing much there yet) and a Facebook page.
